The Edith Hackett Community Development Corporation was initially established as Constantly Making A Difference organization in 2013. As of 2018, we have been operating as Edith Hackett as we continue making a difference within our community. The corporation was created by Edith Hackett’s children and grandchildren who were inspired by Edith’s efforts to be a change magnet for those she encountered. By growing up in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area we were able to recognize an absence of educational, mentoring, financial, and overall fitness programming for the low- income communities and decided to commit to creating genuine and caring experiences for those specific communities. Through charitable events, donations, speaking engagements and empowerment we aim to fulfill the gap of needs for children and families in low-income areas throughout the community.

"We need to redefine community and find a variety of ways of coming together and helping each other." - Sharon Salzberg
