The Edith Hackett Community Development Corporation, formerly known as the Constantly Making A Difference organization since 2013, has been making significant impact in our community. Inspired by the remarkable effort of Edith Hackett, who served as a change magnet for those she encountered, the corporation was founded by Edith's children and grandchildren.

As residents of the Washington, DC Metropolitan area, we have observed a lack of educational, mentoring, financial, and overall fitness programs specifically tailored to low- income communities. Motivated by this realization, we have made a commitment to create genuine and caring experiences for these communities.

In addition to addressing the needs of low-income areas, we have also recognized the importance of supporting domestic violence survivors, at-risk youth, and tackling the issue of childhood obesity. We firmly believe that these are critical areas that require our attention and dedication.

Through a range of initiatives, including charitable events, donations, speaking engagements, and empowerment programs, we strive to bridge the gap in services and resources for children and families in low-income areas throughout our community. By focusing on educational support, mentorship, financial literacy, and promoting overall fitness and well-being, we aim to bring about positive and lasting change.

We remain steadfast in our mission to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Together, with the support of our community and partners, we will continue to champion that cause of empowerment, social equality, and improved quality of life for all.

Thank you for your ongoing support and belief in our mission.

"We need to redefine community and find a variety of ways of coming together and helping each other." - Sharon Salzberg
